Happy Monday!  Today I have a review of OPI Suzi’s Hungary Again! from the Winter 2013 Euro Centrale Collection.

3 coats of OPI Suzi’s Hungary Again! with Cult Nails Wicked Fast

OPISuzi'shungaryagain!

I really like this nail polish.  The nail polish was thick but went on well  To me this is such a bright and fun colour.  Not really a Winter colour per se but I like it.  I also featured this colour layered with OPI Polka.com.

What do you think?  Do you wear colours that match the season or do you wear what you feel like wearing?

Hi everyone! Last Day of the year!  2013 went by so fast!  I hope 2014 brings all they you want and more.

Today I have a review of Polka.com from the Winter 2013 OPI Euro Centrale Collection.

First of all I adore the name of this nail polish!  I think it is super cute.  To me this is a coloured version of OPI Pirouette My Whistle, released for the Soft Shades 2012 NY Ballet Collection.  I felt that I had to do a lot of placement with the glitter, like dabbing it on, for me to get the right mix of large and small glitter pieces.  This is best used as a layering nail polish.  To use this on it’s own would require too many coats if you were trying to go opaque with it.

This would probably also look really good layered over white.

Morning! Today I have for you a review of OPI Hands Off My Kielbasa! from the Winter 2013 Euro Centrale Collection.

OPI Hands off My Kielbasa!

This is a somewhat frosted pinky – peach nail polish.  Personally I’m not into the colour itself by the formula was pretty good.    It does remind me of the colour of Kielbasa though which is quite amusing.  Overall a decent formula if you are into this colour and finish.

Today I have for you a review of OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook from the Winter 2013 Euro Centrale collection.

This is a blue-green/teal creme nail polish.  This looks more blue in the bottle than what came out on the nail.  I’m not a biggest fan of that; I like when the bottle matches the nail polish on the nail.  The formula was pretty good; self-leveling and decent consistency.  The colour isn’t that original which is too bad however if you are in the market for a teal it’s a decent one to pick up.

Today I have for you a swatch of OPI You’re Such a Budapest from the Winter 2013 Euro Centrale collection.

3 coats of OPI You’re Such a Budapest with Cult Nails Wicked Fast Top Coat

OPI You're Such A Budapest!

This is a light purple creme nail polish that really needed the 3 coats.  Anything less than that made this very streaky.  Even at 3 coats it’s a bit streaky in the pictures however this is not a noticeable in person.  This collection had a lot of creme polishes however this feels much more like a spring colour to me than a winter colour.

Nice simple colour but I wish the formula was less sheer.  From what I understand it is intended to be opaque and unless you have 3 thick-ish coats you probably won’t achieve that.

Hi there! Today I have another nail polish from the Mariah Carey Collection.  This one is called Anti-Bleak.  This collection contained 4 “studio” shades and 4 “stage” shades.  All of the Liquid Sands are considered “stage” shades so today I’m showing you one of the “studio” shades.

3 coats of OPI Anti-Bleak topped with Cult Nails Wicked Fast:

OPI - Anti-Bleak

Anti-Bleak is a reddish-purple creme nail polish.  While I don’t think I have anything in my collection like it to be honest it’s not really an original colour in my opinion.  I think I remember one of the China Glaze colours from this past year’s holiday collection was similar to this.  That being said it’s a nice colour even though there is a little bit of staining when I was trying to clean up.

What do you think? After the glitters, holos and textured polishes, do you crave for a simple creme nail polish?

Today I have another one of the OPI Liquid Sands from the Mariah Carey Collection.  This one is called Can’t Let Go.

2 coats of OPI Can’t Let Go:OPI - Can't Let Go OPI - Can't Let Go OPI - Can't Let Go

Can’t Let Go is a purple nail polish that has a Liquid Sand finish to it.  This was another nail polish that was very easy to remove just like Get Your Number.  I think that of all of the nail polishes in this collection this one is my favourite.  While I still have to get use to the texture I feel that I like this colour the most and could easily use this as an accent nail with a pretty big impact.

What do you think? Are we sold on textured nail polish yet?

Happy Monday!  Today I have for you a nail polish from the recently released Mariah Carey Collection, Get Your Number.  This collection had 8 colours released in total four of which are Liquid Sands.  Get Your Number was one of the 4 Liquid Sands that were released.  Liquid Sands are a specialty type nail polish which when dried has a sandy/grainy type finish.  Let’s take a look at the nail polish.

3 coasts of OPI Get Your Number:

OPI Get Your Number OPI Get Your Number

Get Your Number is a nail polish with blue and holographic pieces of glitter.  One thing that I have to give this nail polish was even though it was “glitter” it was very easy to remove.  That was one of the things I really like about it.  I thought the colour was nice but it was not that original.   What was different was the texture that this nail polish has when it dries.

Overall I don’t actually know how I feel about the Liquid Sands.  I really prefer my nail polish glossy and smooth and this look is very opposite of this concept.  That being said it did dry pretty fast and removal was a breeze so if I was looking for a glitter-type look without the painful removal I think that this would be a good idea.

What do you think?  Are you into the Liquid Sand nail polishes from OPI?

Happy New Year!!! Long time no see! I’m very sorry that I have been neglecting the blog lately.  December was just insane because of the move and the holidays.  But I’m back to the regular scheduled posting now.

Today I have a review for you of OPI The Man With The Golden Gun.  OPI released this nail polish with the James Bond Collection and it retails for $37.50 CDN.   I was very excited about getting one of the gold top coats that many of the major nail polish companies have been putting out lately.  And even though the OPI version is on the top end of the price range it is the one that is most accessible to me so I picked it up.  Let’s take a look at it.

2 coats of OPI The Man With The Golden Gun over OPI Live and Let Die:

OPI Man With the Golden Gun OPI Man With the Golden Gun

I really like the look of these together.  I think that the gold top coat adds brings out the gold shimmer in the nail polish.  This could be reapplied to any nail polish that has a hint of gold shimmer within it.  I also think I would only put 1 coat for conserving the nail polish as well as I think 2 coats was a bit much.  I could have gone with an accent nail or even just one layer for each nails and I think that would have done the trick.

Overall I thought that this was a nice polish but something I would use sparingly in the future.

What do you think? Did you pick up any of the gold flake top coats that came out this year?
